The EdTech Evidence Board has been established to strengthen the role of evidence in evaluating education technology. The appointed board will oversee the review process used to assess EdTech products, ensuring that evaluations are rigorous, consistent and grounded in credible research. The work forms part of a wider initiative to help schools and education leaders make informed decisions about the tools they use to support teaching and learning.

Laurie joins a group of experienced education and research leaders who will provide governance and oversight of the evaluation process. The board’s role includes moderating and ratifying assessment outcomes, ensuring fair application of criteria, and strengthening the overall integrity of how evidence is reviewed across the EdTech sector.

The initiative addresses a critical challenge facing educators today. With limited budgets and a rapidly expanding EdTech market, schools and system leaders need trusted ways to understand which solutions genuinely improve outcomes for learners.

Laurie’s appointment reflects EDT&Partners’ longstanding commitment to evidence-informed innovation in education. Through our work with education institutions, governments and technology partners worldwide, we support the development and adoption of digital solutions that are grounded in research and designed to deliver meaningful impact.

As the EdTech Evidence Board begins its work, EDT&Partners is proud to contribute to efforts that strengthen transparency, accountability and trust in the education technology ecosystem.
